Officials in Seminole County are asking the public to donate gently-used shoes for transport to developing countries.

As part of the county’s Recycle Sneaker Project, Seminole County is asking the public to drop off gently worn shoes of all sizes through the summer. The county will take all of the donations that it receives and delivers them to developing countries for distribution.

Anyone seeking to donate shoes may drop them off at the Seminole County Central Transfer Station, which is located at 1950 FL-419 in Longwood. The station is open Monday through Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
